The crisp morning consisted of horn honks, ‘bonjours’ and the feeling of France. There was nothing as satisfying as taking your time, having a cigarette and an espresso and enjoying the Parisian air.
Paris
The heart escapes the body and flutters, it’s wings gossamer and shimmering with the passion and dreams of a young girl -
It lands atop a tower, green grass rolls beneath, the river shines as it splits the city into two,
Music spills out from buskers and cafes, laughter and greetings play out and join the summer sun.
A body lays in a bed, a world away, yearning and aching for the dream she left,
Back home west, a beauty in it’s own right yet her soul is torn, there is nothing really here for her
And over the ocean a world of possibilities and magic.
Do I awake to find myself in another dream? Piecing together some semblance of reality, or do I delve into deep slumber so when I wake I find myself again? (Taken with Instagram)
