Thank you!
WOW I have 102 followers, that is AWESOME. Who ever knew 102 people could give a shit about what I have to say/write/photoblog about?
Here’s just a quick update on life recently, since I have been MIA for text/life posts. I have been crazy busy, I can’t believe its already February tomorrow! I work basically 5 days a week, and on the days I have off I have singing and acting all day,...
calvinalexander asked: omg i forgot to tell you that i watched the video this morning and you are SO cute in it! I love your voice btw. It's been so long since I've heard it. And the clothes you got are super cute! Great buys Janet! :)

Granville Island
Shining lights on the wet horizon,
silence with bright lit baubles -
the beat underneath, pounding nearby
bridge overhead, metal, concrete, no men.
A coloured world, the toy shop eerie when closed.
Pet food in a bright red caravan, imposed on
the black backdrop of night and parked metal,
missing their souls.
Steps shine on wet black asphalt, the air is wet,
there is no rain but...

zenlikeme:
We’re too far removed from our own lives and it has become the cause of apathy. We (pre-1900s) were more involved in our own community, knew which farm our food came from, did things for ourselves. Nowadays, everything is done for us, including thinking. We’re used to just sitting back, letting life happen to us, and not asking questions. Life is a processed food.

Measure
Measure that soft, pale piece. Slap it as the fat jiggles and reveals what you’re really made of. These are her thoughts as she looks into the mirror.
Each part of herself is measured, every minute detail taken into account - as if she is baking the most extravagant cake with ingredients that must be measured to the T.
Her waist is 27”, she has to shave some of that off. Her hips,...

Into the Ether
The locket shuts with a loud click, the clasp fits into its groove and her face is gone. The locket is closed but he still sees her in his mind’s eye: the strand of hair in front of her left eye and the small and subtle smile that is only for him.
Her funeral was a success. If you called funerals successes. The right people came, the right people cried and he was the poor widow. He played...

Waking Sleeping Beauty: A Disney Doc
Just finished watching Waking Sleeping Beauty. This lovely 80 minute film is all about the reboot of Disney animation in the late-80s to mid-90s. The tell all is a series of voice overs from animators, chief execs like Roy Disney and Michael Eisner and many more. The montage of images is inspiring and shows how from a slew of disappointments, Disney’s animation department rose above the...

Time suspends and everything is in crystal...
I haven’t wrote an entry in a while but this one I will dedicate to my accident that happened two days ago.
I got home from work and ate dinner, prepared myself to go to Granville Island for my volunteer shift for the PuSh Festival, I grabbed my bike and took it the next block to cut through the alley behind the apartments. As soon as I got on I said this is nice, then I tried to slow down...

Banana Accessories
This will be a random post to my beloved banana guard.
Now I know many will see this phallic shaped object and be in awe of the audacity of such a thing - but really, its a simple and convenient concept. A plastic banana case that protects it from bruising and smushing in your bag.
I get many jokes about this at school and work, but who gets the last laugh when your banana is squished at the...

RED: A Fantastic and Fun Romp
Last night I had the pleasure of watching RED. Now if you’re looking for a movie that breaks all cliches, with a ground breaking and fresh plot … then look elsewhere. But if you’re looking for a fun action film that makes you laugh and feel awesome at the same time, RED is highly suggested.
RED’s plot comes from a graphic novel (the tenth movie this year to be adapted?)...

Triple Threats & Audition Techniques
Went to sign up for my classes at Blue Egg Entertainment today, and also got registered for Andrew McIlroy’s 6 week acting course (which is awesome, he is a highly respected acting coach!!). I was so happy about getting into his course since they only accept a small amount of people and require a cover letter and everything.
So at Blue Egg I am signed up for Fundamental Dance Techniques,...

Halfling
She is draped in white, her black hair falls gracefully over her shoulders; wide-set eyes in a narrow face, her lips red as the blood that courses through her. An owl lands on her right shoulder, pecking at her ear as if whispering some secret - one wouldn’t be surprised, the animals tell her everything.
When she walks it is like watching a ghost.

Background Actors & An Agency
Isn’t it odd when its a new year and you’re no longer signing ‘2010’ but ‘2011’?
Today started off pretty good, woke up early - wait not really - but got out of the house and made it in time to my meeting at the agency I contacted. This is a boutique agency, which means less than 200 people, most agencies (especially background ones) can have anywhere from...
Rest, reprieve and resolutions
I’m at the airport waiting for my flight back to Vancouver and why not write a post for 2011?
It’s so weird being back home after leaving for a different city. Everything in edmonton seems frozen in place, stagnant, nothing has changed and everything and everyone is the same. The months I spent in Vancouver seem like a dream, and its so weird to be going back. Moving on.
I did some...

New year, new you and new blog
Technically not new, but I changed the name, changed the theme, went on a mass post edit and am ready to start 2011 with a banging new blog.
